SOWING & REAPING
By Rene V. Parault
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that he shall also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.” Gal. 6:7-8-9
Awesome scripture, for this Word is a Kingdom Word stating profoundly that God will not be mocked; and what we do shapes our destiny. HE IS GOD (ELOHIM). We are subject to this kingdom principal that shall never change. According to this law there are consequences if our decisions, choices, thoughts, our ways, and our life style are not righteous.
The immoveable Word of God declares that He will not be mocked. If we say we shall not reap what we sow, that is mocking God. If we, as His children, are doing what is pleasing to Him in obedience, then we will have the rewards that accompany that rule. Sow to the Spirit and we will have life everlasting. Life everlasting begins in the kingdom of God and continues on for all eternity. “BE THOU HOLY AS I AM HOLY” saith the Lord. So as citizens of His Kingdom, we have the responsibility to sow to the Holy Spirit, in all that we do. Live His Word, being doers of the Word.
If we defy His rule then we are subject to the perils of the flesh. Living (sowing) in the flesh has a reaping of no return if we don’t repent. By not being born again, one can only live a life of vanity in the kingdom of darkness. While living in this kingdom one is in a state of corruption. The word corruption in Greek primarily, means destruction, ruin; but also has the sense of deterioration, decay. These paths lead to judgment and hell. Not might lead, but will lead to hell.
So what we are seeing in these end days is the sowing and reaping process growing in momentum. We are seeing nations in the hands of Elohim, in the weights and balances of His scales, and when found lacking, then judgment inevitably takes place. We are seeing the church in the same place, the place of weights and balances; and judgment taking place.
I want to leave you with the first commandment in Exodus 20: 3-6. “Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in water under the earth; Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandment.”
There is much idolatry in the world. How many graven images of stone and wood and metal do people bow down to? Who is the god of these nations? One nation (India) has thousands of gods. Why then should we be surprised at the judgments of Elohim moving throughout the earth?
God is not mocked; for in the end there shall be a new heaven and earth wherein dwelleth righteousness. Amen
