Rene's 75th Birthday Celebration!

Well……….Mama Rene Parault had quite a celebration this past Memorial weekend for the occasion of her 75th birthday. Her family came together, all 40 of them, from southern Florida, Phoenix Ariz., Maryland, Wash. DC, and locally. The celebration also included friends and out of town guests of Mama’s with events well planned throughout the whole weekend. Many also responded from different countries abroad. Rene’s daughters put the whole thing together, along with other family members helping. There was much laughter, cards, flowers, good food, and much love. The slide show of the life of Mama brought great laughter and tears. Fireworks were the finality – the closure for the whole weekend. Mama will never forget her celebration, and everyone said “amen.”

She gave this closing Word concerning destiny for her family gathered together:

“Let us take the helm and steer a true course,
Sailing straight ahead into the future,
Proclaiming truth and righteousness,
And the love of Christ and fear of God.”

A song David Gregory (from Tennessee) wrote and sung to Rene at the celebration dinner:

“You know I’ve had my hand upon you ever since you were a little girl,
And I brought you up in my presence and prepared you to go to the world,
When I gave you a choice to be well known, you laid it down for the sake of my name,
You’ve been faithful to give what I’ve given you and of me you were never ashamed.

And even though it’s not been easy, I’ve been with you all the way,
You have carried my sword; spoke the word of the Lord,
On you I depend, and I am your friend,
That’s why the Lord would say, Well done my daughter, Happy Birthday!! Rene.

I’ve just preserved your life as a mercy, so that others can still hear the way,
I’m giving you new strength and fresh boldness, to rise up and fight another day.
I sharpened your sword while you were resting; and new armor I’ve made just for you,
You will rise up again like the eagle in the wind; for your strength I have come to renew.

Back into the fray of the battle you go now, you can smell the victory,
Like one who’s back from the dead and raised up from the grave,
Who can deny the power of my hand to save?
Let me ask you now, Do you like my birthday present? Happy Birthday!! Rene.

The steps of the righteous are ordered of me; though they fall I lift them up seven times,
There are no bad days in heaven, or for sons and daughters of mine

Now she’s seventy five, seventy five, wow, seventy five, seventy five years old,
She’s still walkin, preachin, lovin, singin, telling others a-bout her king,
Let another generation come to hear the word of the Lord,
Let it go down into their hearts until they’re restored."
