THE DAYS OF BATON ROUGE

We arrived home a few days ago after the ministry in Baton Rouge, Denham Springs and surrounding areas. The Lord moved and many personal prophetic words were given making deposits in people’s lives. The Word we preached was on Faith and how to live in the dynamics of it. The meetings were full and we again felt the oneness with the believers in the area. New doors opened to our ministry; also many old friends we have known over 24 years came to the meetings and there was great rejoicing in the Lord. As usual, we had two meetings a day for a week, which was pretty good for we who are getting a little bit older. We know there shall be a return trip soon.
There was the more serious note on the oil spill in the gulf which was affecting the Louisiana coastal areas, and which seemed to be more devastating than when first presented. We can look on this as God allowing things to happen, for He is in control. The church needs to cry out to God for mercy and forgiveness because of not taking His Words serious over the past years. Much preaching, little repentance. The Lord said a while ago He had taken His hand off of America, and we can see by the current events, that this is coming to pass. This oil catastrophe could keep moving into the Gulf Stream and go up the eastern coast, flowing into the ocean (Have been told this is its path) and on to the coasts of Ireland, UK and moving into the waters of Europe. This is not a small thing. The oil reserve that has been broken into under the water and deep into the earth is huge. There is no end to the outpouring of oil unchecked. Does not the book of Revelation say that 1/3 of the oceans would turn red (blood), (this oil showing red tints) and 1/3 of the creatures (in the water) would die as a mountain of fire would fall into the ocean, and 1/3 of the ships were destroyed (unable to function)? This may be a sign of what will be and where we are in these seasons of time. Is this scenario coming from the book of Revelation, or is this a foretaste?? Eventually we shall know.
But what we do know is to keep our eyes on the Lord and let our faith excel to move mountains; and to keep our peace.
Be blessed and pray for us as we prepare for another overseas trip to Honduras. Great things are awaiting us there and when we return we will report what the Lord has done there over this past year.
