CATCHING UP

Here we are finally catching up on our correspondence, for we have had a busy summer and we know you have too.

We first want to say that we are still standing with Honduras, who has been valiant in her efforts to uphold her constitution.  The ousted president is still in Nicaragua, waiting to have the opportunity to enter, but the Honduran government has been firm.  They are standing and multitudes are praying, and God will bless them for adhering to the truth.  Most countries are not with Honduras, but these few are so I was told: Israel, Canada, Panama, Taiwan and perhaps a couple more.

Secondly, we have added four brethren to Son Rise International Advisory Board of Ministry.  All are from England- Joe and Jenny Kavanaugh, and Dave and Lyn Walter.  We now have a satellite extension of Son Rise into the north and south of England.  We have known these families for many, many years and they have been a blessing to us and the ministry.

Thirdly, in June we had our awesome seminar, and in July our ministry had an input into Lawrenceville, Georgia for 3 sessions and again the message of “Faith” was in the forefront.  This Spanish church, “Camino De Santidad”, is growing rapidly and we are a part of the church family there and love them much. Bro.  Bono and wife Rosie are the pastors and we have become like Mom and Dad.

Fourthly in August we were in Ashburnham, Mass.   with “New Covenant Ministries” for a few days of ministry.  We have been working with New Covenant for a few years, and this again is our yearly meeting with them.  Pastors Bryan Aho and Judith are precious and we have enjoyed our fellowship with them over the years. The Lord wanted the church to know a deeper relationship with God in “sonship”.

Fifth, Darlene and the worship team recorded two new songs and the same songs were recorded in Spanish.  We are on our way to another music CD.

Sixth, also in August, we ministered in Phenix, Ala.    at the home meeting of Bro. Tim Anthony’s. These folks are hungry for the Word of God;   and the power of God fell and touched many. Alabama is new territory for us.  The same weekend we were with the little Spanish church in Columbus, Ga., “Centro Christian YHVH-Nisi”, that we have overseen for a number of years.  Pastor Dora Bernal and daughter Lisette head up the work there and we have been with them for almost 20 years ministering in their home when they lived in Miami.

And Dynamic Women of the Word (under Son Rise) began meetings again in August with Donna McCowan as speaker.

And lastly, on Sept. 5th Rene minister at “New Life Fellowship” to 80 women meeting in Seneca SC.  The message gave  more of an understanding that today we live among the Hivites, the Amorites, the Hittites, and Jebusites and other ites, and we need to depart from the idols that these represent,  and live holy unto God. Stay focused! Darlene and worship team did a great job.

PS:  We even had time this summer to skip away for a few days to Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia with family.
