ENGLAND - IRELAND - APRIL 2004 By Rene Parault
We have just sent a letter concerning our trip to Ireland, but we also had a marvelous time in ministry in England. The Lord has great concentration right now on the British Isles and Ireland. This England, Ireland, Wales, Scotland is where great men and women of God came forth, writing, translating the Bible; Celtic monks preserving the Word of God in very early days, great revivals coming forth and changing lives and the very molding of the Islands. There were great names, great writings, great worship, great dedication, and great persecutions. . This was the heart of the times past. God always has a book of remembrance, and so He is remembering the covenants and vows and promises made to Him through His saints. Names like John Wesley, George Whitfield, Edward Reynolds, G. Campbell Morgan, T. Austin Sparks, Martin Lloyd Jones, Smith Wigglesworth, Oswald Chambers, Jessie Penn Lewis, Evan Roberts, Columba and on and on. And from these very isles, great missionaries were sent forth throughout the world carrying the Word of God in their hearts.
Our work in England and Ireland is to stir up once again, in the hearts of God's people, the truth of the Word of God, which will bring change once more. The stirring up once more of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He said that when this revival comes forth, and it is coming, it would not stop but continue on until He (Jesus) comes.
Iona (Scotland) was the first thrust, a beginning as the plug was pulled. A Holy Ghost trickle began. In other words, God handpicked a few, to go and do as He bid them to on the isle of Iona, not knowing what they were doing, but moving in sheer obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit. When complete, God said, "Well done, faithful ones" and then He began to move. Oct. 2000
In the midst of trouble everywhere in the nations of the world, God is moving. There is an increase of concentration on these lands called England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. He has a plan, and His plan always works. He is going to raise up a Holy standard. We thank the Lord that we are a small part of this end time plan
